The sculptor, Don
Hershberger, was born in Fargo, North Dakota and grew up on a Kansas
farm. The detail and realism of his work has developed by study and
observation of horses through the eye of a horseman as well as an
artist. It is the artist's skill and knowledge of horses that
transforms superficial details and brings the spirit and character of
the
subject to life.
